Kary Chao has obtained a bachelor’s degree at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music majoring in piano in 2018. Kary is extremely passionate in classical music and piano performance as well as pedagogy throughout years of performance practice and artistic research during her undergraduate years. She is currently undertaking postgraduate studies at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music under the tutelage of Ms Natasha Vlassenko.
Kary has several years of piano teaching experiences from beginner to advanced levels with the youngest students being at age 4 through to adult students. Her piano lesson is designed effectively and flexibly for students at different age groups/skill levels in a well-rounded approach, which includes the introduction of a healthy pianistic technique/posture, musical inspiration along with music theory and aural training. With her caring and patient guidance, she is very passionate in helping young beginner students develop music literacy as well as solid pianistic fundamentals. She is also highly experienced in preparing students for AMEB/ABRSM exams and music scholarship exams. There are students, whom she has taught, achieving high distinction, honour, and full music scholarship in high school.
