Master of Music Studies (Piano)

Yukiko completed a Bachelor of Music (Music Education majoring in piano) in Japan followed by postgraduate study Master of Music Studies (Piano) at the Queensland Conservatorium, completed in Brisbane in 2005. Since qualifying, Yukiko has gained extensive experience teaching music both in school settings and a one-on-one basis. She has developed her ability and skills in bringing out the best in her students. Yukiko has taught young children through to adult learners, whether it be purely to play the piano for enjoyment or if they wish to progress through the examination systems (AMEB, ABRSM, Trinity) and perform to the best of their potential. Yukiko’s music lessons are taught either in English or Japanese. The lessons are carefully tailored to suit each student’s needs and their goals. Each lesson is a positive and enjoyable experience for the student, who will make significant progress from the instruction and guidance provided by Yukiko. Music theory, sight reading and aural practice are included, as appropriate, in Yukiko’s lessons.
